Initial Evaluation

During the initial session, your therapist will ask you a wide range of questions to learn more about you and what brings you to therapy. Then you will collaboratively explore how to best address these issues.

Individual Therapy

These sessions are 45 - 50 minutes and are typically conducted weekly, though the cadence is tailored to each person's needs. We utilize a variety of modalities to create a treatment plan that works best to help you achieve your goals.  Your therapist will work with you to find the best path forward, given what you would like to address, your personality, and preferences.

Couples Therapy

Our Approach to Couples Therapy

Sometimes couples and families get into communication patterns that lead to disharmony. This can take the form of disconnection, arguing, distancing, anger or frustration. Often people need to learn new strategies to reconnect emotionally and create space for healing and bonding with their partner. Our therapists use Emotionally Focused Therapy for Couples (EFCT), an attachment theory-focused technique which research has shown significantly decreases conflict and facilitates greater connection and intimacy for couples. EFCT additionally benefits each member of the couple, facilitating their emotional well-being, healing attachment injuries, and helping them build a more secure attachment style and overall more satisfying relationships.
